Dear Borough President Marshall:
I am writing about sexual orientation hate crime. Because sexual orientation hate crime is a big problem in New York City. I hope President to take essential methods about sexual orientation and appeal people don’t discriminate against homoerotism.
Sexual orientation hate crime is one of the most important issues in our city. Because the sexual orientation hate crime is the most controversial of all hate crimes, and also they were not originally included in the law with other types of hate crimes. In fact, sexual orientation hate crime has increase by 6% in New York City and became more serious. For example, Last week, a 49-years-old gay man was beaten up by two men while he was leaving a deli near his home. It caused the victim remaining in a medically induced coma. Although he is in stable condition now, the psychological affection might be permanently damage. In my opinion, we may not like somebody, but we don’t have right to assault anybody.
We need to reduce sexual orientation hate crimes. First, we need stiffer penalties for those hate crimes, not only because it might reduce the violence, but also it sends a clear message to the old school patriarchs that their methods will no longer be tolerated. Second, I hope government establish originally law for the sexual orientation hate crimes to protect resident right. Third, I hope to organize a theme is about respect for the homosexual, （没写完，不知道采取什么建议了）
In conclusion, I suggest our dear President to public local law to increase public awareness of avoiding this case. At the same time, give more understanding and care of homosexual and arouse the fact that the equality of everybody. Let all of us make efforts to build harmonious society together!
